The past 2 days naps and going to sleep in general have been tough.
Now that Kellan can pull himself up to stand in his crib, as soon as we lay him down he flips over and makes a bee-line for the rails. He then proceeds to stand up and talk, whine, yell or cry. Even though he's so tired he just wants out. He knows how to get back down so I don't think that is the problem. He also hates cuddling so rocking/nursing to sleep isn't in the picture either.
Suggestions?

my guess would be that this is just a new phase of discovery that he is able to pull himself up. while it can be a lot of work, i would say just go in there every time he stands up and lay him down and leave. Do it every few minutes until he finally stops getting up out of exhaustion. and do it every time he goes down for nap/night. yes, tiring, but he will get the picture eventually! oh, and don't talk to him. if you feel you have to, just say something simple like, "Time to go to sleep, Kellan."
the less interaction, the better.

Yeah, Lauren went through that too. I would just put her in her crib a little earlier than I wanted her to sleep and just let her cry until she got the picture. If he can get back down, then I wouldn't go back in there unless he really works himself up. He'll eventually realize that you won't come back in and get tired enough to lay back down and go to sleep.

ok, i have to agree that letting him cry/tire himself out is a great option! I, for some unknown reason, didn't suggest it - maybe because some people are so against crying it out? Anyway, if you have the strength to do that, do it! :)
if not, then try my suggestion (if you want - haha).
my kids stopped napping pretty early..usually around a year...sigh, BUT they still had a quiet time in the crib with a few toys. Often they'd play themselves to sleep or simply enjoy playing by themselves and then they were totally happy after about an hour and a half- two hours...anyhow...we keep this up until they are generally 3 yrs old, not in a crib, but in their rooms...lol once they're 3 they start spending more time with mom doing school..lol
