Day 1: We arrived in Halifax at 10am after a red eye flight with a change over in Toronto.

We picked up our rental car, found a hotel then went down to the Halifax waterfront.

We toured the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic then had a yummy seafood supper. Then we took a leisurly stroll through downtown and made our way back to where we parked our car. When we got there we saw that they had locked the gate and our car was inside! So much for a good impression! But thankfully we found a bus that took us directly to our hotel so our moment of panic didn't last too long and things all worked out.
Day 2: BIG sigh of relief when we got back to our car!....We then went to Pier 21 and saw where Brian's parents, grandparents and aunts & uncles first set foot in Canada when they came over from Holland.
It was a really neat experince and we even found the boat log & passenger list from the boat that Brian's dad was on. After that we left Halifax and continued our way east. We found a nice B&B and stayed the night.Day 3: We started our morning with kayaking on the ocean! The owners of the B&B lived close to the ocean and let us borrow their kayaks!

After that we went to a hostorical village museum then kept driving and stayed the night at a sketchy hotel on Cape Breton Island. Beautiful scenery & fall colors tho.

Day 4: We continued our scenic drive along the Cabot trail which travels around Cape Breton Island. The landscape is so beautiful - very rocky and the fall leaves were amazing! We stopped along the way and hiked to a lookout point/cliff.

Then we found another good photo op along the highway where we could walk out on the the rocks, sit and enjoy the crashing waves.

This post is getting long so I'll continue our journey tomorrow. But I will leave you with a baby update. I had a Dr's appt on Monday and he said everything from the ultrasound looked good but he wanted to bump my due date back up to Feb. 15th! So here is my week 24 (minus a day) belly:

What were all your different due dates??
booful pics. i was looking at them on fb. & your teeny tummy is so sweet. You're so lucky not to have any extra anywhere else. You look so good.
Yah - ya look great! The only thing missing from your mug shots is a sweet "I'm so excited about my baby!" smile! :)
Only someone without any extra can take photos like this...not I, not I...
