Bike Ride

Last night Brian and I went for a bike ride around town then out to the town cemetery (not the one Brennan is at). We usually go once a year and take a walk around. My great Grandma is there but we don't go there to 'visit' anyone - we just (for some reason) end up going there every year. This time it was a bit different. Usually we go around and see the old people that have been 'added' and even talk about the lives that were taken too early. This time the infants/babies really stuck out - we never really noticed them before. There wasn't many recent ones but over a span of 100 years there is quite a few.
We also noticed some graves (mostly of young people) were quite littered with silk flowers, teddy bears, ornaments, etc. They just looked so hopeless. Like the family was clinging to the grave and not to the hope we have in heaven/Jesus.

i love that ending sentence... It reminds me of that scripture... ach ~ lent out my good bible... k, went online & found the one i'm thinking of:
Romans 8:24-26 (New International Version)

24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
