A bleak mid winter post

I recently took over being the worship team scheduler at church, so this morning I have mostly been on the phone with other musicians/team leaders. A fellow pianist and her bass player husband will be having another wee babe soon and another leader and her singer husband are also taking a sebatical, so I've been busy mix & matching teams and also looking for fill in groups to help us out.
In the past we have always been involved in 2 or 3 ministries at church, but since the kidlets have come along - the evening events are kinda out the window. So, I willingly took up this project as it is something I can do from home and on my own time.
(Sure do miss you previous DAC worhip team members....you know who you are ;)
Brian and I lead a team that is mostly made up of high school kids. Brian loves the opportunity to teach the younger musicians and to help them get comfortable being up front and hopefully encouraging them to lead or at least be involved in a worship team when they leave the 'safety' of our small town church.

Our snow day:

I am still working on tweaking my blog. I am reading through all my previous posts, taking out the 'too much info' and also labeling everything. My everything-has-to-be-organized personality got the best of me....but stay tuned - I'm almost done!

Tomorrow we are planning a trip to the city. Our biggest purchases being ones from IKEA (a toddler bed and Kellan's belated birthday present), and a big grocery shop is also on the list. We have a small birthday party planned from him on Friday so we have things to make our bleak mid winter week a little more exciting!

Potty training is going well. At least the 'pee' part. He now knows 'how' to pee so the amount of time sitting on the potty has been reduced SIGNIFICANTLY (as well as the frustration levels of the momma ;)

Kalli has noticeably jumped into a new stage this past week. Meal times are taking a bit longer due to her curiosity and wandering eyes. But it never ceases to melt my heart when she takes a break from eating to glance my way to flash me a smile.
